Contemporary art with a serious “Graffiti” touch.
Born in 1986, Renaud REINE has been involved in family drawing from a very young age and made his first approaches with urban cultures in the early 2000s. It was a time when, while following a training as a wood sculptor, he began to travel through France and neighboring countries to affix its brand under his name of graffiti artist HOMEK.
Since 2012, he has crossed European borders in order to share his art in the streets and in schools in disadvantaged areas, most often with children. He also undertakes to offer an artistic workshop once a year at a reception center near Marrakech in Morocco.
With a large number of wall graffiti to his credit and an important “pop-cartoon” period, his style evolves in a more graphic and contemporary approach.
Returning to the work of the letter, making it dynamic and abstract, in warm settings that can recall his travels, or on the contrary sometimes in bright colors reminiscent of his child's soul. The tears evoke the different scenes of an illustrated story. It thus varies figurative patterns, colored tints, soft gradations and the atmosphere of “tagged” walls like a sort of patchwork.
