HNRX was born in Innsbruck in 1993 and started painting at an early age. He moves through Europe like a nomad, live(d) in Vienna, Munich, London, Hamburg, Berlin, Bern...
For him, art means the freedom to do what he wants at the place of his choice. He doesn't see himself as a typical graffiti or street artist just because he prefers public places to paint instead of a studio. If he had to give his passion a job title, it would be that of a street artist. He particularly values concrete as a material - with all its flaws and bumps. That brings the desired liveliness. He particularly appreciates concrete as a material, with all its faults. This brings the desired liveliness. This is why he also prefers cardboard to canvas, because cardboard - similar to a concrete wall - has its own structure and tells its own story.
HNRX deals with everyday objects, often with food. He wants to refer to the everyday in life that we should learn to appreciate more again. “It's the little things that make us who we are. Satisfaction comes from within and is not based on our surroundings." He pleads for the simple and reduced life of a vagabond, which is completely sufficient for him for a fulfilled existence. The surrealistic representations in his art are based on his imagination and his emotions, only very rarely are templates used. "Banal art leads us back to the origin and shows how essential exactly these everyday objects can be.”
