Street art auction with "Artsy x Forum Auctions: Selected Street Art"
On November 12, 2020, an online auction organized by “Artsy x Forum Auctions: Selected Street Art” closed which featured works by historical street art legends such as Jean-Michel Basquiat and Keith Haring, and contemporary street artists. like Blek the Rat, Invader, KAWS, Takashi Murakami and many more.
The 99 lots selected by Artsy brought together most of the big names in street art, thus attracting the'attention of large collectors. Although only one work by Jean-Michel Basquiat and one by Keith Haring were shown, seeing their name in the selection of works made them a top sale.
This sale was a collaboration between London-based auction house "Forum Auctions" and New York-based online art platform "Artsy". It was conducted exclusively online on the platform of'Artsy auctions with prices denominated in US dollars and subject to a tax'20% buyer.
